Problem
Deciding what to cook means juggling budget, calories, allergies, and what’s already in the pantry. hungri turns all of that into a meal plan and a filled Instacart cart.
What I did
- 01Scoped v1 from a 91-item backlog: cut it to the features that prove the core loop, parked the rest.
- 02Made allergen safety the P0. Anything that could surface an unsafe recipe blocks release, no matter what else is ready.
- 03Designed the AI meal planning flow around real constraints (budget, calories, pantry) instead of open-ended prompts.
Outcome
- In progress: building toward TestFlight.
- Core loop shipping first; growth features intentionally parked.
